Job Summary

SQL Server DB administration
- SQL Server Installation and configuration
- Hands-on knowledge of HA Features (Replication, Log shipping, Always On, Clustering, Mirroring). Good knowledge on troubleshooting on HA related features.
- Understanding of WaitStats and Perfmon
- Understanding of SQL Profiler and hands-on experience on performance issue troubleshooting
- Reorganizing & Rebuild indexes, reclaim space/ Update Stats
- Server Monitoring
- Alert, Active Sessions, Jobs, Blocking Session, Server CPU Usage, Memory Usage, Space Availability, Database Availability
- Create Users, Profiles and Roles, Grant/Revoke Rights
- Kill sessions.
- Export object, schema data
- Execute Client Provided script on database
- Taking Backup
- Creating SOP’s
- Troubleshoot Backup Failures
- Backup Restoration
- Create, Drop/Modify users, profiles & roles
- Database Installation as per defined standards
- Identify Long Running Queries and terminate blocking sessions
- Data Migration
- Create, Modify & Drop a database object
- Managing Critical Alerts
- Managing Critical Issues (Sev 1)
- Ensure Fast Recovery in Disaster Situation
- Database Instance Tuning & Performance Analysis
- Good understanding of T-SQL
- Capacity Planning
- SQL Server Patching
- Troubleshooting Critical Issues
- Working knowledge on Dynamic Data Masking, Database Audit, Transparent Data Encryption features related to Database Security
- Good understanding of Azure SQL and Managed Instance
- Prior working experience on Database Compliance Tasks and handling Internal and External Auditors Queries
- Performance Tuning using Query Store
- Good to have - Automating Routine DBA Tasks using TSQL and PowerShell scripts
- Good written and communication skills
