**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Teaching**:
- Teach Biology to students in secondary school (grades 6-10, depending on school).
- Deliver lessons in various aspects of Biology including life sciences, plant and animal biology, ecology, genetics, and human anatomy.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote student interest in biological concepts.
- Use multimedia tools, models, diagrams, and practical demonstrations to make lessons more interactive and easier to understand.
- **Curriculum Planning**:
- Prepare and follow a structured curriculum plan in line with school and educational standards.
- Design effective instructional materials like presentations, handouts, worksheets, and lab activities.
- Conduct practical experiments and demonstrations to give students a hands-on learning experience.
- **Student Assessment**:
- Assess students’ academic progress through tests, quizzes, assignments, projects, and practical exams.
- Provide individual feedback to students and encourage improvement.
- Maintain records of students' academic performance, behavior, and attendance.
- **Classroom Management**:
- Maintain discipline in the classroom and create an environment conducive to learning.
- Handle student queries and provide additional support as needed.
- Motivate students to actively participate in lessons, discussions, and experiments.
- **Communication**:
- Regularly communicate with parents about students' performance, concerns, and areas for improvement.
- Attend parent-teacher meetings to discuss academic progress.
- Cooperate with colleagues to align the teaching approach and achieve common goals.
- Participate in faculty meetings, school events, and educational activities.
- **Professional Development**:
- Stay updated with the latest developments in Biology, teaching techniques, and educational technology.
- Participate in school activities and contribute to the overall development of the institution.
**Requirements**:
- **Educational Qualification**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology or a related field (B.Sc. in Biology).
- **Skills**:
- In-depth knowledge of Biology, including both theoretical and practical aspects.
- Proficiency in conducting biology experiments and using laboratory equipment.
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex biological concepts clearly.
- Classroom management skills to keep students focused and engaged.
- Ability to assess and monitor students' progress effectively.
- **Experience**:
- Prior experience in teaching Biology at the secondary school level is preferred, but fresh graduates with a passion for teaching are also encouraged to apply.
