Data Scientist

**About the Role**

Gojek is committed to creating a safe and trusted platform for all - drivers, consumers and merchants. Fraud has a large impact on both the user experience and financials - you will thus be working in an area of high relevance and impact. Specifically, you will help develop data-driven methodologies to reduce fraud risk and improve user experience on the platform. This will entail identifying relevant data sources, evaluating them and building predictive models for fraud detection. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment in a cross-functional team with business and product stakeholders and leverage our vast data and the Big Data infrastructure.

**What you’ll do/ Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, product managers, validation teams across the risk org
- Help develop statistical/Machine learning based techniques to tackle fraud
- Prototype, validate and iterate solutions end-to-end [data ingestion to model performance]Be actively involved in deploying and maintaining models in production
- Help deliver and improve business metrics continuously

**What you’ll need/ Requirements**:

- Masters/Bachelors in Statistics, CS or related engineering streams
- At least 1-2 years of experience in developing statistical/ML solutions
- Good understanding of Statistics/ML fundamentals
- Proficiency in Python and SQL

**Good to have**:

- Exposure to pyspark and cloud environments like GCP/AWS is preferred
- Capability to solve a well-defined DS problem end-to-end

- Help advance a comprehensive and high impact risk management system combining human and machine intelligence through
- Predictive modeling for fraud detection
- Trust/risk scoring for users and transactions
