Equity Dealer

**Job Overview**: An Equity Dealer with an NISM (National Institute of Securities Markets) certification is responsible for executing equity transactions on behalf of clients, ensuring market compliance, and providing actionable trading insights. The role requires a deep understanding of financial markets, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in executing trades under dynamic market conditions.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Execution of Trades**:

- Execute client buy and sell orders on the equity markets in real-time, ensuring the best execution of trades.
- Ensure that trades are executed in compliance with the regulations, and within the risk parameters defined by clients.
- **Market Analysis & Research**:

- Monitor market movements, economic news, and company developments to identify profitable trading opportunities.
- Provide clients with daily market updates, trading strategies, and expert analysis of stock market trends.
- **Client Relationship Management**:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with retail and institutional clients.
- Understand client investment goals and risk tolerance, offering personalized advice to optimize their equity portfolios.
- Respond promptly to client queries and provide high-quality customer service to ensure satisfaction.
- **Compliance and Risk Management**:

- Ensure strict adherence to regulatory guidelines, internal policies, and compliance standards for equity trading.
- Implement risk management techniques to minimize potential losses and safeguard client interests.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions for audit purposes and regulatory reporting.
- **Portfolio Monitoring**:

- Assist clients with portfolio construction, regularly reviewing and adjusting investments to align with market conditions and client objectives.
- Track the performance of equity holdings and suggest improvements or adjustments as needed.
- **Reporting**:

- Provide clients with timely, transparent, and detailed reports on their portfolios and trade performance.
- Prepare trade confirmations, transaction summaries, and risk reports for both internal and client use.
- **Technology & Trading Platforms**:

- Proficiently use trading platforms and financial software tools to execute trades and track market data.
- Stay updated on industry-leading technologies and systems to enhance trade execution and operational efficiency.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- **Certifications**:NISM Series I - Equity Derivatives Certification** (Compulsory).
- **Experience**: 1-3 years of experience in equity trading or stock broking, preferably in a client-facing role.
- **Skills**:

- In-depth knowledge of equity markets, investment products, and market regulations.
- Proficiency in trading platforms, financial software, and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret market data and trends.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex market concepts in simple terms.
- Strong decision-making ability under pressure.
