**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage and organize the school library in line with CBSE requirements.
- Maintain an updated catalogue of books, periodicals, digital resources, and reference material.
- Guide students and teachers in effective use of library resources.
- Promote reading culture through book clubs, reading sessions, exhibitions, and literary activities.
- Ensure proper issue and return of books, keeping accurate records.
- Maintain discipline and a conducive learning environment in the library.
- Integrate digital and e-learning resources for modern library practices.
- Assist teachers in providing relevant resource material for classroom teaching.
- Conduct library orientation for new students and staff.

**Qualifications (as per CBSE guidelines)**:

- **Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science** (B.Lib.Sc.) or **Post Graduate Degree in Library Science** (M.Lib.Sc.) from a recognized university.
- Knowledge of library management software is desirable.
- Proficiency in English communication is preferred.

**Essential Skills**:

- Strong organizational and cataloguing skills.
- Passion for books and ability to instill reading habits in students.
- Familiarity with both print and digital resources.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to conduct literary and reading activities.

**Experience**:

- Minimum 1-3 years of experience as a Librarian in a CBSE/recognized school preferred.
- Freshers with the right qualifications may also apply.

**Remuneration**:
Salary will be **commensurate with qualifications and experience**, as per CBSE norms.
