OVERVIEW:
7+ years of MongoDB, MySQL & Cassandra database support experience as Database Administrator (DBA), including experience installing, configuring, designing, patching, archiving, and monitoring to include performance tuning databases.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

- DB Technologies: MongoDB, MySQL & Cassandra.
- OS: Linux.
- Scripting: Shell scripting.
- Experience in Installation and Configuration of MongoDB, MySQL and Cassandra databases in Linux environment.
- In-depth knowledge of DB performance/scaling concepts and tuning best practices.
- Troubleshoot database issues, maintain database systems availability and scalability.
- In-depth understanding of High availability strategies.
- Ensure optimal health, integrity, and security of all databases.
- Planning efficient and appropriate tools to support production operations.
- Document, monitor, test, and adjust backup and recovery procedures to ensure important data is available in a disaster.
- Serve as on-call database administrator on a rotational basis.
- Advanced knowledge of Database monitoring and third-party tools like Percona Monitoring Plugins (PMM) and other monitoring tools.
- Participate in change and problem management activities, root cause analysis, and development of knowledge articles to support the organizations program.
- Experience of Scripting knowledge.
- Solid knowledge on database concepts, and internals
- Strong experience in Linux Operating Systems.
