Job Description: Planner, DePuy Synthes Supply Chain - Asia Pacific

**Position summary**:
The Planner, DePuy Synthes Supply Chain - Asia Pacific is responsible for the Demand Planning and Supply Planning processes for a defined product category, ensuring the timely arrival of products to meet their Customer Service Levels, in line with agreed Supply Chain metrics.

This position, supported by a team of Operations Planning analysts, leads the Supply Chain alignment to the Regional Marketing strategy for the relevant product category and ensures consistency of Portfolio management execution through engagement with countries.

**Principal responsibilities**:

- Develops Country forecasts by appropriate maintenance of demand history and tools provided
- Maintain Planning parameters (Inventory Targets, ROP, Lead Times, Regulatory, Product Lifecycle ) and detect anomalies / changes.
- Ensures Market Intelligence (MI) data added to the statistical forecasts is substantiated by business expectations and reconciled to overall business plans
- Lead LEX (Launch Excellence) and E&O modelling for Product Discontinuation, Lifecycle decisions and impact. Provides planning inputs to country.
- Communicates the NPI launch purchase plan to source companies
- Validate Regional Demand plan - Affiliate review aggregation by Family & Brand
- Generate all insights required for Investments plans decisions in alignment with Product Lifecycle management, Brand strategy Monitor Capex investments, amortization, and implants inventory to support product swaps
- Generates, reviews, and executes MRP (Materials Requirements Planning) replenishment orders
- Develops country supply plan for the franchise that meets anticipated customer demand in line with Inventory Entitlement model (Warehouse Inventory).
- Leverage data and insights generated by Asset Management team to analyze net requirements and find opportunities to redeploy excess and obsolete stocks where possible (Loan and Consignment inventory)
- Resolves regional supply issues by coordinating with source company and country management; draws up a joint action and contingency plan for the resolutions of such issues (Back order root causing, allocation plan, scenario planning, communication, timely escalation)
- Leads STEM (Short Term Escalation Management) and Supply updates, Supply constraints management and allocation strategy
- Takes joint responsibility with country supply and marketing managers in achieving country inventory targets
- Collaborates with Regional Commercial, countries affiliate and Global teams to obtain input from all relevant parties to build an inventory investment plan for execution
- Creates initial data input to the business planning exercise
- Provide Business insight of key Supply Chain Metrics (MAPE, BIAS, OTIF-D, Inventory, ESO, Back Orders), translate into meaningful business decision & action plan
- Understanding of product knowledge and market related areas. Able to guide countries team across portfolio complexity and Life Cycle Management decisions.
- Is abreast of current developments and trends within Supply Chain and Information Systems.
- BOM (Bill of Materials) - Governance across the Region in dedicated supporting systems (i.e.: Anchor)

**Qualifications**:
KNOWLEDGE SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
1 to 4 years multifunctional Supply Chain experience (i.e. Planning, Quality, Manufacturing, Deliver) or Commercial role with a strong knowledge of DePuy Synthes product portfolio.
- Tertiary qualifications at Degree level - Science or Engineering based
- Good working knowledge of Demand Planning, Supply Planning and Supply Execution processes
- Exposure to IT Systems like APO/APS, SAP/JDE etc.
- Strong communication skills, ability to articulate and simplify Supply Chain
