Job Title: Cutting List Expert - Modular Furniture

Location: Bengaluru

Reports To: Production Manager/Factory Head

Job Overview:
The Cutting List Expert is responsible for preparing and managing the cutting lists for all modular furniture production, ensuring optimal material usage and efficiency in the manufacturing process. This role is crucial for coordinating between the design, production, and procurement teams to maintain precision, reduce material wastage, and improve overall production workflow.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Cutting List Preparation:

- Analyze production orders, technical drawings, and BOMs (Bill of Materials) to prepare detailed cutting lists for various furniture components.
- Ensure the cutting list aligns with the production plan and materials availability.

2. Material Optimization:

- Maximize material usage by optimizing cutting layouts to minimize waste and costs.
- Use software tools (AutoCAD, Cutlist Plus, or equivalent) to generate cutting plans.

3. Coordination with Production Teams:

- Collaborate with production and carpentry teams to ensure cutting lists are accurate and feasible.
- Communicate changes or adjustments in cutting lists to ensure smooth production flow.

4. Quality Control:

- Ensure that the cutting list specifications meet the required dimensions, tolerances, and material standards.
- Conduct regular audits on the cutting process to identify areas for improvement.

5. Inventory Management:

- Monitor material stock levels and coordinate with the procurement team for timely replenishment based on cutting list requirements.
- Track usage and wastage of materials to maintain accurate inventory records.

6. Software and Technology:

- Operate cutting list software and production planning tools to create efficient plans.
- Continuously update knowledge on software and cutting technologies to enhance operational efficiency.

7. Process Improvement:

- Identify opportunities for improving cutting techniques, material savings, and production efficiency.
- Participate in discussions with the design and engineering teams to improve designs for manufacturing.

Qualifications:

- Education: Diploma or degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Wood Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in modular furniture manufacturing, specifically in cutting list preparation and material optimization.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
