About the Role:
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct manual accessibility testing on ChromeOS and Android platforms using tools like TalkBack, ChromeVox, and Switch Access.
Validate UI components and workflows for compliance with WCAG 2.1/2.2 and platform-specific accessibility standards.
Identify and document accessibility issues with detailed reproduction steps and screenshots.
Collaborate with developers and designers to provide feedback and suggest improvements.
Participate in accessibility reviews and contribute to test planning and strategy.
Work closely with product and engineering teams to ensure accessibility is considered throughout the development lifecycle.
Stay informed about evolving accessibility standards and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Deep understanding of accessibility principles and WCAG guidelines.
Hands-on experience with assistive technologies (TalkBack, ChromeVox, Switch Access, screen magnifiers).
Familiarity with Android Accessibility settings and ChromeOS accessibility features.
Ability to write clear and concise bug reports and test documentation.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Experience working in Agile environments.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with VPAT documentation and accessibility compliance reporting.
Exposure to accessibility testing for other platforms
Familiarity with test management tools.
Experience mentoring junior testers or leading accessibility initiatives.
