**About the role**:
**Responsibilities**:
**Cloud Architecture Design**:

- Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architectures on AWS.
- Develop and maintain cloud architecture standards, best practices, and patterns.
- Managing infrastructure solutions and provide critical solutions
- Managing AWS governance/IAM/PIM/PAM services

**Infrastructure Management**:

- Creating, managing and troubleshooting IaaS and PaaS services
- Deep knowledge on domain controllers, server OS’s, DNS, DHCP, RDWeb services
- Automation/scripting knowledge for reporting and inventory purposes
- Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure for performance, cost, and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues.

**Security and Compliance**:

- Implement and maintain security best practices in AWS, including IAM, network security, and data encryption.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., SOC2, BUPA).
- Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans.

**Cost Optimization**:

- Analyze and optimize AWS costs using tools like AWS Cost Explorer and Trusted Advisor.
- Implement cost-saving strategies through right-sizing, reserved instances, and spot instances.
- Monitor and report on cloud spending.

**Documentation**:

- Create and maintain detailed architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and operational procedures.

**Qualifications**:

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

**Experience**:

- 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing cloud architectures on AWS.
- Proven experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, and CloudFormation.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
- Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional (preferred).

**Skills**:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of DevOps principles and practices
