**Job Summary**: We are seeking a skilled Vertex Tax Solution Configuration Specialist who specializes in configuring Vertex tax solutions within SAP (SAP ERP) and JDE (JD Edwards) ERP systems. This role will primarily focus on Vertex configuration and seamless integration with the SAP Basis and ABAP teams, as well as similar responsibilities for JDE interfaces.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Vertex Configuration**:

- Collaborate closely with the Vertex tax team to understand tax requirements and design tax solutions within the Vertex platform.
- Perform Vertex tax configurations, including setting up tax codes, rates, jurisdictions, and exemptions.
- Ensure the accuracy and compliance of tax calculations within the Vertex system.
- Stay updated with tax regulations and implement changes accordingly within the Vertex configuration.

**SAP Integration (Basis & ABAP)**: 5. Work closely with the SAP Basis and ABAP teams to integrate Vertex tax solutions into the SAP ERP system.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving integration issues, ensuring smooth data flow for tax calculations.
- Collaborate with Basis administrators to ensure the proper setup and maintenance of SAP systems to support Vertex integration.
- Provide technical guidance to the ABAP development team for implementing Vertex-related enhancements or customizations.
- Conduct testing and quality assurance of Vertex configurations within the SAP environment.
- Document Vertex-SAP integration processes and configurations thoroughly.
- Collaborate with JDE technical teams to ensure seamless integration of Vertex with JDE interfaces.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues specific to JDE, maintaining data integrity for tax calculations.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of Vertex configurations within the JDE environment.
- Document JDE-Vertex integration processes and configurations comprehensively.

**Training and Support**: 16. Provide training and support to SAP and JDE technical teams regarding Vertex tax configurations and integration.
- Offer guidance and assistance to resolve technical issues related to Vertex within the ERP systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems).
Proven experience in configuring Vertex tax solutions.
In-depth knowledge of Vertex configuration processes and tax compliance.
Strong familiarity with SAP Basis and ABAP, including integration and technical aspects.
Proficiency in JD Edwards (JDE) interfaces and integration.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
