Bengaluru, India CIEL HR Services Full time

Plan, design, implement, deploy, support PostgreSQL and other databases for a complex data integration and analytics solutions product
- End to End Ownership of PGDB in the production deployment space -deployment architecture, design, development, testing, UAT, deployment, support and feeding back learnings back from deployment and support to architecture, design etc. This would involve (but not limited to):

- Configuration and troubleshooting of tables, table spaces, Schema, etc
- Performance Tuning
- Replication, Backup Partitioning storage and Recovery
- Cloning / DB Refresh
- Managing DBA activities for a number of development & production environments
- Collaborating with Onsite/Customer DBA during deployments
- Conducting Code Quality Audits
- Monitor and optimize system performance using index tuning, disk optimization, and other methods.
- Write, test, deploy scripts from scratch to monitor parameters, extract information and automate activities.
- Configure accesses, set user privileges within the database environment.
- Work with the architecture and development team to architect, design solutions effectively
- Enable the support team for day to day operations
- Contribute to building of the DBA functional group

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

- Essential Competencies:

- Prior experience in planning, designing, implementing, deploying and supporting PostgreSQL and other databases for a complex, high volume data integration and analytics solutions product
- Must have worked as DBA in at least two medium to large project with PostgreSQL database
- Should have experience in Postgres on cloud. AWS preferred.
- Must have good interaction skills with various stakeholders (colleagues, vendors, customers, etc).
- Knowledge of Redhat Enterprise Linux 5.x is must. The person would have to double up as a Linux System admin also.
- Experience with automation of DBA administration, monitoring and management using scripts or programming languages.
- Should be able to work under high pressure, highly ambiguous situations of highly complex data analysis solutions
