As a proactive Assistant Local Controller, you will support accounting operations at our global shared services center in Hyderabad, India. In this critical role, you’ll assist with month-end closing processes, ensure compliance with local accounting standards, and uphold financial controls.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Ensure local statutory and tax compliance for the legal entities including but not limited to Statutory Audits, tax and local compliances, Balance sheet and Profit loss GL Reconciliations, Internal controls.
- Follow timely month-end close process in line with LSEG’s global reporting timetable, reviewing and making sure critical GL accounts are reconciled to underlying documentation, transactions are accounted accurately in line with ORBCOMM’s accounting policies and local accounting policies.
- Work with various business partners to ensure legal entities are accurately, completely, and timely accounted for in the enterprise systems, as well as to ensure good controls and underlying processes are in place.
- Analyze all Balance Sheet and profit loss accounts on a periodic basis.
- Liaise with auditors on Statutory audit.
- Analyze quarter on quarter or year on year variances and present meaningful observations.
- In conjunction with the Tax Department, complete tax packs, book tax provisions, and monitor tax accounts movements.
- Collaborate with the Transfer Pricing Department to review the quarterly calculation for Group books and perform the true-up Calculation for local books.

**Who You Are**:
You’re a strategic thinker with a knack for operational excellence, ready to tackle multiple priorities with agility and grace. If you have:

- A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; an MBA is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in local finance and accounting functions.
- Strong accounting background as well as a solid understanding of IFRS and GAAP.
- Experience of having participated in Audits of Large to Medium Scale organizations.
- Understanding of tax and statutory compliance requirements.
- Efficient work ethics with proven track record of meeting deadlines.
- Clear and effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and deliver under pressure.
- Adaptability, flexibility, responsiveness, technology savvy.
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
