**Job Description - Part-Time Abacus Teacher**

**Position**: Abacus Teacher (Part-Time)
**Location**: GD Goenka Public School, Chhibramau, Kannauj
**Reporting To**: Principal / Academic Coordinator

**About the Role**:
We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Abacus Teacher to join our team on a part-time basis. The teacher will be responsible for imparting Abacus and Mental Arithmetic training to students, enhancing their concentration, problem-solving, and mathematical skills, in line with the CBSE guidelines for skill-based learning.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Plan and deliver engaging Abacus classes for students as per school timetable.
- Teach students fundamental to advanced concepts of Abacus and Mental Math using structured modules.
- Develop lesson plans, practice exercises, and assessments in alignment with CBSE’s focus on experiential and activity-based learning.
- Evaluate student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Maintain proper records of attendance, student performance, and assessments as per CBSE requirements.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, discipline, and confidence in mathematical learning.
- Participate in school events, workshops, and training sessions when required.
- Ensure compliance with school policies and CBSE norms related to safety, child protection, and teaching quality.

**Mandatory Requirements (as per CBSE norms)**:

- **Educational Qualification**: Minimum Graduate in any discipline with specialized Abacus Training/Certification from a recognized institute.
- **Teaching Experience**: At least 1-2 years of prior teaching/training experience with children (preferably in Abacus/Mental Math).
- **Skills**:

- Strong communication skills in English and Hindi.
- Patience, creativity, and child-centric teaching approach.
- Ability to integrate technology (audio-visual aids, digital tools) in lessons.
- **Other Requirements**:

- Police verification and background check as per CBSE Affiliation Bye-Laws.
- Medical fitness certificate.
- Willingness to undergo school-organized training and orientation programs.

**Remuneration**:
Salary will be **commensurate with qualifications and experience**, as per school norms.
