Gensler has been providing integrated workplace management SaaS solutions to corporate real estate clients for over 20 years. To meet the changing needs of the workplace, we are creating new products using modern technology to enhance the physical workplace experience through digital design. We will unlock the potential of the workplace through machine learning and deep data insights.

Your Role

As a CAD Technician within Gensler’s Workplace Management SaaS team, you’ll play a key role in helping our clients ensure their digital drawings reflect the reality of their workplace. This is a critical activity for today’s digitally enabled office environment You will be responsible for delivering CAD support services for our corporate clients using our IWMS/CAFM SaaS solution, Wisp

) This position is fast-paced and accountable for the addition and ongoing maintenance of CAD drawings for workplace, retail, and production spaces for a wide range of corporate clients. This position requires you to be detail-oriented, prioritize well, and interface with project managers, customer success managers and team members.

What You Will Do
- Support regular updates of drawings to accurately reflect built environment and furniture configuration based on markups.
- Classify spaces relative to the measurement standard used for project.
- Provide high quality of work.
- Prioritize work to meet project timelines.
- Ensure that all drawings follow client standards.
- Properly capture the required polyline changes.
- Support Gensler sustainability goals. Especially on topics relevant to your day-to-day duties.
- Engage and collaborate with the larger team on sustainability efforts and initiatives.
- Research and implement ways to optimize our internal workflow environmental impact.

Your Qualifications
- An AutoCAD technician with experience in architecture industry
- Civil Engineering diploma or Industrial Training Institute (ITI) CAD certification or Diploma in Architectural Technology or AutoCAD or equivalent preferred.
- 10+ years of working with CAD software.
- Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD 2010 or higher, experience with Revit is a plus.
- Experience with Bluebeam, Excel and alternate CAD programs; vector file format conversion is a plus.
- Architectural construction drafting experience.
- General understanding of BOMA 1996 drawing standard and CAFM software is a plus.
- Self-driven team player.
- Basic understanding of sustainable design and operations is preferred.
