**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist cardiologists and interventional radiologists during catheterization procedures including angioplasties, stent placements, pacemaker insertions, and electrophysiology studies.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and hemodynamic status before, during, and after procedures.
- Administer medications and contrast agents as prescribed.
- Maintain sterile technique and ensure appropriate infection control practices.
- Prepare and operate specialized equipment such as EKG monitors, defibrillators, and intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP).
- Provide pre-procedure and post-procedure patient education and care instructions.
- Accurately document nursing care, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Participate in emergency response situations including Code Blue events.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current practices and emerging technologies in cardiac care.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:

- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN required)
- BSN preferred

**Licensure/Certification**:

- Current and unrestricted RN license [in State]
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- CCRN or RCIS certification preferred (not mandatory but desirable)

**Experience**:

- Minimum of 1-2 years of critical care or emergency nursing experience
- Previous experience in a Cath Lab or interventional radiology setting preferred
