1. **Market Analysis**
- Monitor equity markets to understand price movements and trends in underlying stocks or indices.
- Use technical analysis (e.g., chart patterns, indicators) and fundamental analysis (e.g., earnings reports, economic data) to predict stock price behavior.

2. **Derivatives Pricing and Valuation**
- Assess the fair value of stock options and futures using pricing models like Black-Scholes or Binomial models.
- Analyze implied volatility and its impact on option premiums.

3. **Trading Execution**
- Execute trades for stock options, futures, and other derivatives on exchanges or over-the-counter (OTC) platforms.
- Utilize limit orders, market orders, and advanced trading algorithms to optimize execution.

4. **Strategy Development**
- Implement strategies like:

- **Directional Trades**: Speculating on stock price movements.
- **Hedging**: Protecting portfolios from adverse stock movements using derivatives.
- **Spread Trades**: Combining multiple derivative positions to capitalize on relative price differences.
- **Arbitrage**: Exploiting inefficiencies between cash and derivatives markets.
- Develop and back-test trading strategies for consistency and profitability.

5. **Risk Management**
- Identify and manage risks such as delta, gamma, vega, and theta (the "Greeks").
- Use stop-loss orders, position sizing, and diversification to minimize losses.
- Monitor margin requirements and maintain sufficient capital reserves.

6. **Portfolio Management**
- Manage a portfolio of derivative positions to maximize returns while controlling exposure.
- Rebalance positions in response to market changes or profit targets.

7. **Regulatory Compliance**
- Adhere to financial regulations and exchange-specific rules for derivatives trading.
- Maintain accurate and transparent trade records for audits or reporting.

8. **Communication and Reporting**
- Collaborate with analysts, brokers, and risk managers to align on strategies and market outlooks.
