Trade Compliance Executive

For Sartorius Stedim India Pvt. Ltd., We are looking for The Trade Compliance Professional to join our team in Bangalore. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the requirements and business processes associated with cross-border movements function smoothly, while also ensuring that issues and risks are identified and managed efficiently. The Trade Compliance Professional analyzes foreign trade laws and evaluates their impact on business goals while assessing potential corporate compliance risks.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the requirements and business processes associated with cross-border movements function smoothly, while also ensuring that issues and risks are identified and managed efficiently. The Trade Compliance Professional analyzes foreign trade laws and evaluates their impact on business goals while assessing potential corporate compliance risks.

**What you will accomplish together with us**:

- Develop, document and execute a comprehensive compliance strategic plan which supports corporate business objectives and government regulations
- Oversee the import and export processes (including export control) for India and ensure compliance with Indian and foreign governments and regulations
- Ensure all Import and Export benefits offered by the Government are evaluated and avail the most beneficial one for the organization
- Responsible for completion and closure of all documentation that needs to be submitted to the Government agencies for both Import and Export
- Implement and maintain export controls and sanctions program elements
- Being an internal consultant in regard to new business implementation or business model evaluation from a trade compliance point of view
- Establish and maintain accurate and complete import, export and compliance records in accordance with government regulations
- Establish an import and export trade compliance manual and awareness program
- Oversee company compliance with export compliance laws and regulations under EU, US, UK and national export control laws and regulations with regards to Sartorius products and support of the global Export Control Team
- Stay updated on the export and re-export control & sanctions regulations globally and in countries Sartorius operates in and support to implement changes with the central team
- Interact professionally with government regulators and agencies
- Conduct compliance assessments and trainings

**What will convince us**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in international trade, customs, or other relevant degree
- Minimum 5 years’ of relevant work experience to include oversight of import/export processes.
- Good working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred), and MS Office suite.
- Knowledge on SAP GTS preferable (or other export control related software)
- Ability to understand and interpret complex customs and export control laws & regulations with a strong focus on US, EU and Indian requirements
- Identify and advise the business on changes to legislation or government policy
- Direct trade compliance experience with respect to governmental agencies such as Directorate General of Foreign Trade
- Ability to demonstrate strong professional interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and make decisions within a team based environment.
