Responsibilities & Qualifications:
**Position Summary**

While all SQL DBAs need to be able to do both admin and coding, this role will be centered more around coding with some light admin. The SQL DBA is responsible for the end-to-end implementation of the MySQL Server database systems. The SQL DBA will be mainly responsible for tuning queries and stored procedures as well as improving and writing SSIS packages. The SQL DBA will work closely with the Senior Database Engineer and Infrastructure, Cloud Services, and Product Development Teams to scale, maintain and continually improve the performance and availability of OLTP databases. The DBA provides critical review of our production OLTP processes and design and provides tuning, monitoring, performance analysis, architecture scalability, query tuning, and index optimization. This position will be in our Pune Office.

**A Day in the Life**- We are seeking a brilliant and experienced MySQL DBA to join our team.-
- The MySQL DBA will work closely with developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure the availability, performance, and security of our MySQL database environment.- Write stored procedures from scratch based on user requirements.- Tune existing stored procedures and bring up modern coding practices.- Evaluate and tune table indexes.- Provide database administration support for all database environments (dev, staging, integration, production) and participate in on-call rotation as defined by management.- User access management- Review daily database jobs and database alerts.- Database backups and environment refreshes- Proactive database monitoring- Work with developers to optimize, improve and tune new or existing queries by rewriting queries or modifying indexes.- Participate in the planning, installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance of database instances.- Troubleshoot/Resolve database performance issues, database capacity issues and database replication issues.- Exposure to Cloud MySQL flavors will be an added advantage.-
- Mentor and guide other technical resources.

**We would love to chat if you have...**- Minimum 3-5 years of database administration experience.- Ability to collaborate on requirements for projects and requests being a great team member.- Design, implement, and maintain our MySQL database infrastructure.- Monitor and tune the MySQL database for optimal performance and availability.- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, including performance problems, replication failures, and data corruption.- Implement and maintain database security policies and procedures, including access control, authentication, and encryption.- Work closely with developers to optimize SQL queries and database schema design.- Plan and execute database backup and recovery procedures.- Develop and maintain database documentation, including procedures, standards, and guidelines.- Stay up to date with the latest MySQL features, tools, and techniques. Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.- At least 5 years of experience as a MySQL DBA in a production environment.- Strong experience with MySQL database design, administration, and performance tuning.- Solid understanding of database security principles and best practices.- Should be able to write bash script.- Proficiency with SQL, including complex query optimization.- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.- Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems is a must.- MySQL certification is a plus.- Willing to work in rotational shift.
