**Job Title**:
Web Scraping Intern

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Data Collection and Scraping**:

- Identify target websites and scrape data using Python libraries (e.g., BeautifulSoup, Scrapy) or browser automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Puppeteer).
- Handle dynamic websites, including those built with JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, etc.).
- **Data Cleaning and Structuring**:

- Extract data in a clean, organized format (e.g., CSV, Excel, JSON).
- Use libraries such as Pandas to preprocess and analyze raw data.
- **Managing Anti-Scraping Challenges**:

- Solve CAPTCHA, rotate IPs, and use proxy services to avoid detection and IP blocking.
- Implement user-agent switching and delays to mimic human behavior.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Document scraping workflows and processes.
- Prepare and submit progress reports detailing completed tasks and findings.
- **Collaboration**:

- Work closely with the project manager and other team members to define data needs.
- Suggest and implement improvements to scraping techniques.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- **Technical Proficiency**:

- Basic programming skills in Python (essential) or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with web scraping tools and libraries, such as:

- Python: BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, Requests, Selenium.
- JavaScript: Puppeteer, Playwright.
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, and XPath for navigating web structures.
- **Analytical Skills**:

- Ability to identify patterns in data and write targeted scraping scripts.
- Experience in working with structured and unstructured datasets.
- **Problem-Solving Skills**:

- Handle challenges such as CAPTCHA, IP blocks, and rate limits.
- Familiarity with proxy management tools like ScraperAPI or Bright Data (preferred).
- **Other Skills**:

- Strong attention to detail.
- Good organizational skills for handling multiple scraping tasks and datasets.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

**Preferred Qualifications (Not Mandatory)**:

- Knowledge of database management tools like MySQL or MongoDB.
- Experience with APIs and extracting data through API endpoints.
- Exposure to data visualization libraries like Matplotlib or Seaborn.

**Duration and Compensation**:

- **Internship Duration**: 3 to 6 months (flexible based on performance and availability).
- **Stipend**: Competitive, based on experience and contribution.

**Learning Opportunities**:

- Gain hands-on experience in web scraping and data engineering.
- Exposure to advanced tools and techniques for data acquisition and cleaning.

**Location**:
Remote or Onsite (depending on company policy).
