Job Description: Financial Controller

Location: Goregaon East - Mumbai

Reporting to: Director

We seek a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Controller to lead our financial operations, ensuring robust fiscal health and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Management:

- Oversee and manage the overall financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Prepare and present accurate financial reports (P&L statements, balance sheets, etc.) to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations.

2. Cost Control and Analysis:

- Develop cost accounting procedures to monitor and reduce production costs while maintaining quality.
- Analyze manufacturing expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement process improvements.
- Conduct profitability analysis for new and existing product lines.

3. Financial Strategy and Planning:

- Collaborate with the executive team to develop long-term financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Evaluate investment opportunities and manage risk assessment processes.

4. Compliance and Audit:

- Ensure adherence to tax regulations, labour laws, and other statutory compliance.
- Liaise with external auditors for periodic audits and implement recommendations as required.
- Maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.

5. Team Leadership:

- Lead and mentor a team of accountants and finance professionals.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration within the finance department.
- Train team members on new financial policies, tools, and compliance requirements.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Education: Chartered Accountant
- Experience: Minimum of 3-4 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong knowledge of financial management systems, ERP software, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Expertise in cost accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Solid understanding of supply chain finance and inventory management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Attributes:

- Experience in the backpack or têxtile manufacturing industry is a plus.
- Proven ability to manage complex financial operations and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹1,900,000.00 per year
