Paint Technologist

For a Global Leader in design and manufacture of mechanical fluid systems to major Oil and Gas, Power, Chemical and Fertilizer companies

**Responsibilities**:
Achieve set production targets as per plan. Ensure strict adherence to parameters as per approved painting procedure / specification for surface preparation & painting process.Monitoring Blasting process - check air pressure, abrasive contamination, moisture content, Ambient condition measurement and control e.g. Humidity, Surface Temperature, Surface Profile by Replica Tape, Salt contamination test etc.Monitoring painting process - (Destructive and Non-Destructive tests) - DFT, Cross Cut, Pull off Adhesion Test, Pinhole Detection etc.Ensure proper handling of materials & reduction of rework.Follow up with Quality department for stage inspections and testing activities.Ensure safety procedures are followed at all levels.Ensure good housekeeping levels are maintained at workplace.Implement IMS & KAIZEN at workplace.Meet quality requirement of the customers and ensure reduction of cost.Manage industrial relations to ensure harmonious work environment.Maintain shop floor discipline and ensure adherence to safe working practices.Document & record ongoing blasting / painting parameters in inspection report.

**Skill sets we require**:

- Understanding / knowledge of quality standards and health & safety regulations.
- Familiarity with various blasting / coating related national and international standards.
- Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach.
- Good computer Proficiency.
