**Role description**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Database Administration**: Manage and administer large-scale production MarkLogic clusters, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
- **Security and Backup**: Implement and maintain security models, backup/restore mechanisms, and perform regular security audits. Experience with **corb jobs**, **mlcp**, and other related MarkLogic tools and technologies.
- **Query Performance & Tuning**: Perform query performance tuning and review, as well as debug and optimize code modules that work with complex data structures.
- **Technical Expertise**: Work extensively with **XML**, **XPATH**, and **XML Query**. Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex issues.
- **Linux Proficiency**: Utilize Linux operating systems and commands for managing databases and servers effectively.
- **Shift Flexibility**: Be willing to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts.
- **Collaboration & Communication**: Work collaboratively in a team environment, provide support with mínimal supervision, and maintain strong written and oral communication with clients and stakeholders.
- **Banking/Financial Experience**: Experience in the **Banking and Financial domain** is preferred.

**Desired Qualifications**:

- **NoSQL Knowledge**: Familiarity with other **NoSQL systems** such as **MongoDB**, **Couchbase**, **Cassandra**, etc., is a plus.
- **Automation Exposure**: Experience with **automation techniques/tools** and scripting languages is desirable.
- **Performance Monitoring**: Experience with performance tuning, monitoring, and proactive database management.
