**Job Description Summary**

The overall objective of this role is to
- Improve and update micro services and APIs that power Citi digital channels like Mobile, Internet banking and open banking partners, using latest cloud native technologies and frameworks and ensuring to maintain its within EOVS.
- Ensure compliance with Citi’s system development lifecycle and information security requirements
- Implement and maintain security controls to meet the requirements outlined by data owner and data steward from business.

**Application & Data Custodian**
- Strong understanding of object-oriented analysis and design with excellent software development skills. Deep-dive and hands-on development of cloud native micro service pattern with spring boot is preferred.
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business impact the Data handling area through monitoring delivery of end results
- Review and Analyze proposed data related solutions for projects by thorough understanding of integration with upstream or downstream touch points.
- Sound understanding of data quality, data architecture constructs, control parameters, data transmission, data processing and data access and working knowledge of Citi processes
- Good understanding of technology stack, solution skills, Backlog management of data integrity and accuracy issues.
- Should be a team player.
- Excellent Analytical skill to navigate unstructured problems and define solution
- Excellent communication & negotiation skill to manage the Business stakeholders as well as the business Data Steward

**As an Application & Data Custodian, you are to ensure that you fulfill the outlined Duties and Roles/ Responsibilities.**

**Duties**:

- Implements the user access policies specified by data trustees.
- Ensures that data quality is sustained during technical processing (such as data entry or Extract-Transport-Load operations).
- Ensures that the recipient of a data extract receives a copy of the business metadata that corresponds to the extracted data.
- Ensures that changes to data content and controls can be audited.
- Advises trustees on technology solutions that support the type of access the trustee wants to provide
- Should be able to produce evidence in the form of logs, reports, document for Data quality and SLAs with various teams.

**Roles & Responsibilities**:

- ** Application Management**
- Ensure all compliance activities (ARR/ ARP/ Entitlement Feeds/ Export Licensing Agreement/ COB/ Compliance VA/ Critical Data Asset/ Sensitive Data Management Attestations/ ID Management & Reviews/ Scans & Patches) are performed timely within defined SLA.
- ** Application Information Security and Code Quality Governance**
- Identify, assess, track and mitigate issues and risks at multiple levels (software, third party components/ libraries, servers). Determine if success metrics are in place and if not, work to define them.
- Drive outstanding safety and soundness items across all teams to closure and turn it around to become prevention instead of reacting to issues.
- ** Business and Data Architecture Standard**
- Manage and keep Data Dictionaries updated with current product version
- Partner with Data Stewards for biz data definitions
- ** Data Governance**
- Data Custodians must coordinate with Business/Global Function Process Owners to maintain data in adherence with the retention guidelines.
- Data Stewards and Data Custodians must collaborate with Process Owners and Technology to fully execute required change management procedures.
- ** Data Quality Management Standard**
- At each stage of the data lifecycle, data must be assessed for the four control principles of Accuracy, Comprehensiveness, Timeliness, and Consistency. Each control principle is comprised of Data Quality dimensions detailed in the Data Quality Management process documents.
- ** Metadata Standard**
- Business Process Owners, Data Stewards and Data Custodians must coordinate with Technology to create and implement the Data Lineage toolset within Citi’s environment, managing technical metadata in alignment and coordinating Data Lineage tasks and testing activities.
- Data Custodians together with Technology must deploy the Data Lineage tools for scanning data, establish connections and capture lineage using Data Lineage toolset while documenting data level lineage.
- Data Custodians, Data Stewards and Business Process Owners must review the changes to data lineage and communicate these changes to the applicable DGO and CDO.
- ** Data Management Activities**
- Engage with Data Stewards & Data Providers regarding the review, maintenance and implementation of Preventive Data Quality controls to confirm data is captured correctly (e.g. maker/checker, data entry validation) and Detective Data Quality Controls to prevent Data Quality exceptions
- Perform Data Profiling (as needed) to discover, understand and provide transparency into inconsistencies in data, collaborating with Data Stewards
