Echo Technician

**Job Summary**:
As a 2D Echo Technician, you will play a crucial role in performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures to assess the heart’s structure and function. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality, accurate images for diagnosis.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform 2D echocardiograms (ultrasound imaging of the heart) to assess heart conditions such as valvular disease, heart failure, and congenital heart defects.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
- Follow established protocols to ensure accurate and consistent image quality.
- Document and record patient information, including medical history and results of echocardiograms.
- Assist physicians in reviewing and interpreting the results of echocardiograms.
- Ensure all imaging equipment is maintained and properly calibrated.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in echocardiography techniques and equipment.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**:

- Completion of an accredited echocardiography program or equivalent experience.
- Certification in Echocardiography (RDCS, RCS, or equivalent) preferred.

**Experience**:

- At least 1-2 years of experience in performing 2D echocardiograms in a clinical or hospital setting.
- Familiarity with echocardiography equipment and technology.

**Skills and Competencies**:

- Strong knowledge of echocardiography techniques and protocols.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accurate image capture.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.

**Certifications**:

- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (preferred).
