**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Instructional Planning and Delivery**:

- Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans that adhere to the IB Chemistry curriculum for both Standard Level (SL) and Higher Level (HL) courses.
- Teach Chemistry concepts including physical chemistry, organic chemistry, and inorganic chemistry, utilizing a variety of instructional methods to address different learning styles.
- Facilitate laboratory experiments and practical work to enhance theoretical understanding and develop scientific inquiry skills.
- **Assessment and Evaluation**:

- Design and administer assessments that align with the IB Chemistry curriculum and measure student understanding and progress.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents regarding academic performance and areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student grades, attendance, and other necessary documentation.
- **Curriculum and Instructional Resources**:

- Contribute to the development and enhancement of the Chemistry curriculum in alignment with IB guidelines and standards.
- Integrate educational technology and resources to support and enrich the learning experience.
- Stay informed about updates and changes to the IB Chemistry curriculum and assessment methods.
- **Student Support and Development**:

- Support students in their academic and personal growth, addressing individual needs and fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Provide guidance on IB-specific requirements, such as Extended Essays and Internal Assessments, and support students in their preparation for exams and assessments.
- Encourage critical thinking, scientific inquiry, and a passion for Chemistry.
- **Professional Development**:

- Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current with IB standards, educational practices, and advancements in Chemistry.
- Participate in IB workshops, conferences, and training to enhance teaching effectiveness and contribute to the school’s IB program development.
- **Communication and Collaboration**:

- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student learning and address any concerns.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support interdisciplinary learning and school-wide initiatives.
- Participate in school meetings, departmental meetings, and other professional activities.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or a related field (Master’s Degree or higher preferred).
- Valid teaching certification with experience in teaching Chemistry at the secondary level.
- Experience teaching Chemistry within the IB framework (preferably IB Chemistry training or certification).
- Strong knowledge of the IB Chemistry curriculum and assessment methods.

- Master's (required)

**Experience**:

- Teaching: 5 years (required)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)
