**Job Title**: Social Studies Teacher

**Location: Marathahalli**

**Position Type**: Full-Time

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that cover the social studies curriculum, including history, geography, civics, and economics.
- Deliver lessons in an engaging and effective manner, using a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles.
- Design and administer assessments to evaluate students’ understanding and progress.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students, helping them improve their academic performance and critical thinking skills.
- Create a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Address classroom behavior issues promptly and effectively, maintaining a conducive learning atmosphere.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of the social studies curriculum and instructional materials.
- Stay informed about current events and developments in social studies to incorporate relevant topics into lessons.
- Provide additional support and resources to students who may need extra help with course material.
- Foster a supportive environment that addresses the diverse needs of students and encourages their academic and personal growth.

- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about students’ progress and any concerns.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan interdisciplinary activities and participate in school-wide initiatives.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with educational best practices and advancements in social studies education.
- Attend faculty meetings and contribute to school committees as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Social Studies, History, Education, or a related field (Teaching Certification preferred).
- Previous experience teaching social studies at the primary/secondary level is desirable.
- Strong knowledge of social studies content and pedagogy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students, fostering a love for learning about social issues and history.
- Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
