- In this role, Cash Application Management Trainee who’s responsible for posting payments from the lockbox, ACH, and wire transfer to customer accounts. Also reducing un-applied cash receipts on aged accounts receivable._
- Responsibilities_
- _Must have a strong understanding of Accounts Receivables process_
- _Post daily receipts (wires/ACH/checks) and credit/debit memos on a timely basis in order to ensure accurate maintenance of accounts receivable balances_
- _Contact collections and business partners to obtain remittance details_
- _Research and resolve misapplied and unidentified cash receipts in ERP_
- _Identify and manually tag all customer remit discrepancies and short payments._
- _Undertake tasks as requested by the Team Leader that may involve testing and process improvement._
- _Assist in streamlining and improving the accounts receivable process by identifying areas of improvement_
- _Maintain, prepare and distribute daily and monthly reporting to Supervisor, and other stakeholders_
- _Meet the monthly productivity goals_
- _Identify and reconcile payment differences, post short/over payments, deductions on account and partial payments and appropriately code all reconciling transactions_
- _Utilize shared mailboxes and customer web portals to identify, retrieve and organize remittance details._
- Additional Responsibilities_
- _Must have a strong understanding of Accounts Receivables process with Quality team on performing process Audits as per the agreed sample size and agreed frequency_
- _Act as a Subject Matter Expert/mentor/buddy and provide guidance/ support to the other team members_
- _Keep the SOP documentation updated as per the identified changes in the process and submit for regular review and approval_
- _Review /update Root Cause Analysis (RCA) provided by the accountant and work with Client-SMEs in formalizing the resolutions and bringing the preventive control to ensure same error is not repeated_
- _Identify anomalies, gaps in the process and explore potential opportunities for process improvement_
- Qualifications we seek in you_
- Minimum Qualifications_
- _Degree in Finance/Accounting/Business management or other related areas_
- _Experience in Accounts Receivables Process_
- _Strong detail-orientation with a penchant for data accuracy_
- _Ability to research, interpret and reconcile data_
- _Strong communication skills, both written and verbal_
- _Good interpersonal skills and team player_
- _Ability to take initiatives, meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload_
- _Proficient in Microsoft Excel_
- _Worked in an international environment._
- _Critical thinking skills with an ability to analyze data, and an eye for details._
- _Comfortable to work with US based clients, US shift hours and 100% Work from Office_
- Preferred Qualifications/ Skills_
- _Working with Microsoft Oracle is preferred_
- _Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including pivot tables, macros, index/match, VLOOKUP, VBA, data links, etc. will be an added advantage_
