Cloud Architect

**General Requirements**
- Expertise to build complex, multi-step tasks and assigned projects with no supervision and meet clearly stated deadlines
- Expertise to independently study and learn new technology concepts, including development of hands-on labs and guided tutorials for others
- Expertise to demonstrate advanced knowledge to mastery in 2 or more core technologies / platforms / methods
- Expertise to lead small project teams and provide summarized status reports to internal and customer senior leadership as required

**Specific Function Requirements**
- Expertise to lead customer meetings and status calls and act a trusted advisor role with prospects and customers
- Expertise to act as primary author for internal and customer facing documents
- Expertise to coordinate tasks across peers, consultants, and associates to complete project requirements and objectives
- Expertise to effectively lead discussions with team members and supervisor on project tasks, identified issues / risks, scheduling, and roadblocks.

**Specific Department Requirements**
- Expertise to develop Infrastructure architecture solutions, participate in POC (Proof of Concepts), (Proof of Value), Demonstration efforts as well as engaging in beta programs and adoption of new technologies
- Expertise to carry out systematic performance troubleshooting, upgrades, migrations and performance system resource optimisation
- Expertise to solve complex problems with little or no supervision on schedule, as an individual or part of a team
- Expertise to effectively manage priorities and maintain support requests while ensuring effective communication and progress updates including escalation as required
- Expertise to effectively lead in-person and conference call meetings with customer technical teams to coordinate joint task execution for predefined tasks / objectives with mínimal oversight
- Willing to travel as needed to support customer-site meetings and activities
- Expertise to review architectural requirements to ensure operational accuracy and achieve successful Cloud adoption.
- Expertise to produce high quality architectural designs and associated diagrams, blueprints and standards for Public Cloud deployments meeting customers or prospects business requirements which demonstrate value
- Expertise to show experience as a consultant and to lead in pre-sales process for opportunities

**Specific Technology Requirements**
- Expertise to demonstrate solid understanding of technologies associated with the following Public Cloud vendors; OCI, AWS, Azure, Google
- 3 - 5 years’ experience architecting Cloud solutions
- Expertise to demonstrate RDBMS and / or Operating System understanding to a high level of proficiency
- Expertise to set up and configure infrastructure to Public Cloud. Operational understanding of one or more of OCI, AWS, Azure and Google
- Expertise to demonstrate networking proficiency (DNS, routing, firewalls etc) and security & authorisation proficiency (SSH, OAUTH, SOAP and REST)
- Expertise to demonstrate understanding of automation and orchestration, CI/CD, Pipelines and the contribution Cloud makes to an Agile SDLC.

**Education**:

- Bachelor degree with a technical major such as: Information Technology, MIS, or Computer Sciences or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

This role may require access to customer environments as a means of providing the necessary support to resolve an issue or inquiries into performance-related issues, or for periodic maintenance and management of the systems. In some instances, these environments may contain Personally Identifiable Information (PII) (e.g., such as HIPAA-related Personal Health Information - PHI) and Payment Card Information (PCI). Personnel are expected to adhere to the highest standards of ethics and professionalism in protecting PII.

- Work with clients to design a full-stack solution using software that fully integrates with customer’s existing cloud infrastructure from data flow, security, DevOps, and other standpoints
