We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role combines expertise in data engineering, including data modeling and a good technical understanding of SAP platforms, to deliver innovative data solutions for our business across the region. You will be responsible for analyzing the data requirements, related SAP programs, data models, developing SQLbased data models in Snowflake, and providing scalable data analytics solutions tailored to project and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities

Analyze the data demands and design appropriate technical solutions
Design and implement SQL based data models in Snowflake.
Analyze standard or customer SAP programs and t-codes, including reading and compiling ABAP programs when necessary.
Prepare and document data structures incl SAP table information & development logic, technical requirements where necessary.
Strong hands on implementation ABAP coding experience in S/4 HANA.
Assure consistent and reliable ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, automate data workflows and ensure data quality and governance
Collaborating with data scientists and analysts for data accessibility
Develop physical data models and optimize data schema for performance and scalability
Collaborate with the cross-functional, cross-cultural team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality projects.
EducationBachelors degree or higher in IT or a related field (preferred).
A background in Business or Finance is a plus.
Languages
Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills.
Ability to converse in any other Asian language, especially Japanese, Korean or Chinese, is an advantage

Knowledge & Experience
4 6 years of working experience in data engineering activities, especially using SQL/HANA, using SAP tables and/or programs, and exposure to data science (nice to have)
Strong experience in data modeling using SQL and/or other related programming languages
Good understanding of SAP table structure including transparent table, t-codes and able to read and understand ABAP logic.
Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data lake platforms is essential
Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a cross functional, cross cultural, virtual team environment.
