To be successful as a "PBWM Controls Offshore COE", you should have experience with: **Basic/ Essential Qualifications**: - Able to influence & deliver in a matrix organisation. Knowledgeable on aspects of Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF), Operational Risk Framework (ORF) and Barclays Control Framework (BCF). - Experience of working in or within a Control type role / team. - Data driven, able to synthesise recommendations from large and varied sources of data. **Desirable skillsets/ good to have**: - Effective written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present credibly to senior stakeholders. - Experienced in dealing with multiple stakeholders in different business functions who have different objectives e.g. Barclays Internal Audit, Risk, Compliance, Fraud, Legal. - Strong Excel skills including extensive experience in managing large quantities of data, pivots, formulas, Vlookup. - Data driven, able to synthesise recommendations from large and varied sources of data. - Knowledgeable on aspects of Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF), Operational Risk Framework (ORF) and Barclays Control Framework (BCF) with experience of working in or within a Control type role / team. This role will be based out of ( Chennai ). **Purpose of the role** To assess the integrity and effectiveness of the banks internal control framework to support the mitigation of risk and protection of the banks operational, financial, and reputational risk. **Accountabilities** - Collaboration with various stakeholders across the bank and business units to improve overall control effectiveness through detailed documentation of control assessments, procedures, and findings. - Identification and investigation of potential weaknesses and issues within internal controls to promote continuous improvement and risk mitigation aligned to the bank’s control framework, prioritised by its severity to disrupt bank operations. - Development of reports to communicate key findings from risk assessment including control weaknesses and recommendations to control owners, senior management, and other stakeholders. - Execution of reviews to determine the effectiveness of the bank's internal controls framework aligned to established and evolving policies, regulation, and best practice. - Implementation of adherence to the Barclays Controls Framework and set appropriate methodology of assessing controls against the Controls Framework. **Analyst Expectations** - To perform prescribed activities in a timely manner and to a high standard consistently driving continuous improvement. - Requires in-depth technical knowledge and experience in their assigned area of expertise - Thorough understanding of the underlying principles and concepts within the area of expertise - They lead and supervise a team, guiding and supporting professional development, allocating work requirements and coordinating team resources. - If the position has leadership responsibilities, People Leaders are expected to demonstrate a clear set of leadership behaviours to create an environment for colleagues to thrive and deliver to a consistently excellent standard.
