
Account Executive

**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Bookkeeping**: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and accounts payable/receivable.
- **Data Entry**: Enter financial transactions into accounting software or spreadsheets, ensuring accuracy.
- **Invoice Management**: Process invoices and ensure they are correctly recorded and matched with purchase orders or contracts.
- **Bank Reconciliation**: Reconcile bank statements with internal financial records to ensure consistency.
- **Expense Tracking**: Assist with tracking company expenses and ensuring they are within the approved budget.
- **Financial Reporting**: Assist in the preparation of basic financial reports, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- **Tax Assistance**: Help with the preparation of tax returns, ensuring that all necessary documents and information are ready for submission.
- **Audit Support**: Assist in preparing documents and information for internal and external audits.
- **Account Reconciliation**: Assist in reconciling discrepancies and resolving any issues related to accounts payable and receivable.
- **Filing and Documentation**: Maintain organized records of accounting documents for easy retrieval and compliance purposes.
**Skills & Qualifications**:
- **Education**: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Some employers may accept relevant certifications or coursework in lieu of a degree.
- **Experience**: Typically 0-2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role. Internship experience is often acceptable.
- **Technical Skills**: Basic proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Microsoft Excel) and familiarity with accounting principles.
- **Attention to Detail**: High accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
- **Communication**: Ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors, particularly when discussing financial data or discrepancies.
- **Organizational Skills**: Strong organizational skills to maintain and manage records, files, and documents effectively.
- **Time Management**: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, especially during busy periods such as month-end or year-end reporting.
