Mold Designer

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
1. Supervise design department staff handling various thermoplastic and thermoset moulds,

dies and assembly tooling.

2. Review new parts and engineering changes for moulding feasibility and propose changes

to part design where necessary to reduce tooling cost and minimize potential moulding

problems.

3. Propose concept tool designs for challenging or unusual parts.

4. Estimate design time and cost for all new tools and engineering changes.

5. Good knowledge of plastic defects causes and their solutions.

6. Assign and monitor the status of design jobs to optimise workflow and meet scheduling

and budget requirements.

7. Assist in troubleshooting tool build and moulding process issues at our production

facilities.

8. Check mould & tool Design before release also fill checklist & approve.

9. Check All MFR before implementing Gate, cooling, air vent,etc.

10. Create detailed mould and tool designs if required by workload.

11. Tool steel calculation and selection for each tool.

12. Co-ordinate with customers.

13. Purchase relevant goods (Be mindful of cost, uses & time ).

14. Maintain All Cad Software, Data and storage.

15. Ensure timely deliver mould to manufacturing and T0.

16. Maintain Design Documents.

17. Collect good Sample and add in showcase.

18. Follow-up to vendor ,customers and internal team.

19. Good experience in 3D CAD.

20. Working experience must have 6 to 10 years in relevant role.

- **QUALIFICATION**

**Graduate (With Specialization)**: Degree / Diploma from CIPET/Tool & Die making from TRTC, DITE, NTTF, CITD, CTTC, NTTF etc.

or Degree in Mechanical/Production

**Post Graduation (With Specialization)**: M.Tech (Tool Design) / Post graduate diploma in Tool and Die Design/making
