**Position Summary**: The Associate Dean for Research at Chandigarh University is responsible for developing, leading, and executing the research initiatives for the university. This position works in collaboration with the academic departments and faculty to ensure high-quality research across the university, specifically focusing on research and experimental development activities. The individual in this role will work with the board of directors to drive research strategy, facilitate and encourage research partnerships, and to ensure proper compliance with authorities in accordance with the university policy and procedural guidance.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Develop, implement, and maintain a research strategy for the entire university aligned with university’s strategic goals.
2. Facilitate and promote interdisciplinary and collaborative research initiatives.
3. Develop systems and processes to ensure that research has rigorous and rigorous-informed evaluation and peer-review processes.
4. Act as a coordinator of research grants and contracts for faculty, staff, and students.
5. Lead and evaluate teams of researchers and research assistants.
6. Collaborate with Scholarships and Awards team to identify national and international grant opportunities.
7. Develop new connections and research partnerships with external research organizations and funding bodies.
