- Medication Dispensing:

- Accurately dispense medications as per doctors’ prescriptions, ensuring correct dosage, form, and patient instructions.
- Prescription Review & Validation:

- Examine prescriptions for accuracy, drug interactions, contraindications, or potential allergic reactions before dispensing.
- Inventory Management:

- Monitor and manage stock levels of medications, reorder supplies on time, and ensure availability of essential and emergency drugs.
- Patient Counseling:

- Educate patients on proper use of medications, possible side effects, storage, and compliance with treatment schedules.
- Drug Storage & Safety Compliance:

- Ensure medications are stored under proper conditions (temperature, humidity), and expired/damaged drugs are promptly removed.
- Coordination with Medical Staff:

- Work closely with doctors and nurses to clarify prescriptions, suggest alternatives in case of stock shortages, and support clinical decisions.
- Maintaining Pharmacy Records:

- Keep accurate logs of drug usage, prescriptions filled, controlled substances dispensed, and regulatory documentation.
- Adherence to Legal & Hospital Policies:

- Comply with drug laws, hospital protocols, and regulatory standards (e.g., Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act compliance).
- Participating in Drug Audits & Quality Checks:

- Assist in internal audits, batch verifications, and medication error reporting to ensure high standards of pharmaceutical care.
- Support in Emergency and Critical Care:

- Be available during emergencies to dispense urgent medications, assemble crash cart drugs, and assist in ICU or OT setups as needed.
