Here are the roles and responsibilities of a VMC programmer:

- Programming VMC Machines: The primary role of a VMC programmer is to create CNC programs for VMC machines to produce parts according to technical drawings and specifications. This includes selecting the appropriate cutting tools, specifying cutting parameters, and creating machine instructions for each operation.
- Interpreting Technical Drawings: VMC programmers must be able to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to understand the required part geometry, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Creating CNC Programs: VMC programmers must be skilled in using CAD/CAM software to create CNC programs for VMC machines. This includes understanding the capabilities of the machine, selecting the appropriate tool paths, and optimizing the cutting parameters for each operation.
- Debugging and Troubleshooting: VMC programmers must be able to debug and troubleshoot programs to ensure that they run efficiently and produce high-quality parts. This includes identifying and correcting errors in the program, adjusting cutting parameters as needed, and optimizing the program for the specific machine.
- Adhering to Safety Standards: VMC programmers must be familiar with and adhere to strict safety standards when programming VMC machines. This includes understanding the potential hazards associated with operating the machine and ensuring that the program includes appropriate safety measures.
- Collaboration with Others: VMC programmers must be able to work effectively with other team members, including operators, engineers, and technicians. This includes communicating effectively to ensure that programs are optimized for the machine and the required part specifications are met.

**Salary**: ₹267,825.95 - ₹450,000.00 per year
