**Roles & Responsibilities**:

- Develop mathematical and machine learning models, validate them using customer data, and implement production versions of the models
- Code and maintain parts of Hx products
- Analyze customer’s raw data, such as performing an EDA (Exploratory Data Analysis) to explore the design of new product features or the suitability of the data set to be used in Hx products, or to deduce edge cases for product testing, or to test hypotheses about the behavior of the data
- Contribute to the design of the code and the software architecture
- Contribute to the functional design of the products by proposing possible technical approaches or solution methods to solve problems posed by the business requirements
- Work both independently and with other data scientists and software engineers to develop, refine, and scale Hx products and analytical processes
- Keep up-to-date knowledge on data science related open-source / commercial libraries and development tools

**Required Qualifications**:

- Knowledge and experience in developing mathematical or machine learning models and solution algorithms to solve business or engineering problems, including the use of common statistical or machine learning libraries such as like Scikit Learn, Pandas, Pytorch, Tensor flow
- Basic knowledge in SQL and database concepts. Experience in manipulating large data sets in a business environment
- Basic knowledge in statistics, stochastic models, causal inference, or mathematical optimization. Advanced knowledge in one of the above areas preferred.
- Strong desire to learn about, explore, and invent new methods for solving real-world problems using data
- Experience in commercial software development in python preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, operations research, or equivalent with 1+ years’ work experience, or Master’s degree in the above areas

This is a remote position.
