**Key Responsibilities**:

- Own the architecture and design of modern data platforms using **Databricks**on cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP).
- Develop scalable, high-performance **data lakehouse architectures**, incorporating Delta Lake and structured streaming.
- Architect robust **data pipelines (ETL/ELT)**using PySpark, SparkSQL, and Databricks notebooks.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, and engineering teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical architecture.
- Optimize data processing workflows for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- Implement best practices around **data governance, security, lineage**, and **compliance**in cloud-native environments.
- Enable analytics, BI, and ML initiatives by ensuring strong data foundations.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers and data modelers.
- Drive innovation and continuously evaluate emerging technologies in the data and AI space.

**Required Skills & Experience**:

- 10+ years of experience in data architecture, engineering, or analytics roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with **Databricks**including **Delta Lake**, **Spark**, and **MLflow**.
- Expertise in **cloud platforms**(preferably **Azure**, but AWS/GCP also considered) and **native cloud data services**like Azure Data Lake Storage, Synapse, AWS S3, Redshift, or GCP BigQuery.
- Strong command of **SQL, PySpark, SparkSQL**, and distributed data processing.
- Solid experience in **data modeling**(dimensional and normalized), metadata management, and data quality frameworks.
- Strong understanding of **DevOps/DataOps**, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform).
- Experience implementing **data security, RBAC, and encryption**in cloud environments.
- Excellent stakeholder communication, leadership, and documentation skills.

**Preferred Skills and Experience**:

- Certification in **Databricks**(e.g., Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional or Lak
