**Overview**

AutoCAD Draftsman is responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans for mechanical systems, machinery, and components using AutoCAD software. They convert concepts, sketches, and specifications from engineers into precise CAD drawings used for manufacturing or construction.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D mechanical drawings using AutoCAD.
- Review design specifications, sketches, and technical documents provided by engineers.
- Ensure drawings comply with engineering standards and company requirements.
- Modify existing designs based on feedback or design improvements.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and production teams.
- Maintain documentation and revision control for all mechanical drawings.
- Assist in the preparation of assembly drawings, fabrication drawings, and component details.

**Required Skills**:

- Proficiency in **AutoCAD (2D and 3D)**; knowledge of **Inventor or SolidWorks** is a plus.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of **standards, tolerances, and technical specifications** in mechanical engineering.
- Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate drawings.
- Basic knowledge of materials and mechanical components (gears, shafts, fittings, etc.).
- Good communication and team collaboration skills.
