Job Description: Finance Manager (Education Sector - CA Preferred)

Position Overview:
The Finance Manager in the education sector is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of an educational institution, ensuring financial sustainability, compliance with regulations, and efficient allocation of resources. The role involves budgeting, financial reporting, risk management, and strategic financial planning. A Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is preferred for expertise in financial management and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Planning & Budgeting:

- Develop and manage the annual budget for the institution.
- Monitor financial performance and ensure optimal resource allocation.
- Provide financial forecasts and strategic recommendations to leadership.

2. Accounting & Financial Reporting:

- Oversee daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and grants.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for management, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and funding requirements.

3. Compliance & Risk Management:

- Ensure adherence to financial policies, regulatory guidelines, and audit requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
- Liaise with auditors, government bodies, and funding agencies as required.

4. Cash Flow & Investment Management:

- Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure financial stability.
- Oversee investment strategies and fund allocations to optimize financial returns.
- Manage grants, donations, and endowments in compliance with institutional policies.

5. Financial Strategy & Institutional Growth:

- Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making in areas such as infrastructure development, staff hiring, and curriculum expansion.
- Assist in securing funding, grants, and sponsorships for institutional growth.
- Develop cost-saving initiatives and improve financial efficiency.

6. Leadership & Team Management:

- Supervise and mentor finance staff, ensuring effective performance and professional development.
- Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to align financial plans with institutional goals.
- Promote a culture of financial responsibility and accountability within the organization.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Education: CA
- Accounting, Controlling, team management, financial reporting, balance sheet review, P&L, Compliance.
- Experience: Proven experience in financial management, preferably in an educational institution or nonprofit sector.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards applicable to the education sector.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with financial management systems, ERP software, and Excel.
- Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Communication & Leadership: Strong interpersonal skills to interact with stakeholders, faculty, and funding agencies.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹1,800,000.00 per year
