**Job Description: PGT Maths Teacher**

**(Grades 4 to 10) - Residential School**

**Position Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Teaching & Curriculum Delivery**:

- Plan, prepare, and deliver well-structured, engaging, and interactive math lessons for students from **grades 4 to 10.**:

- Ensure lesson plans align with the school curriculum and academic goals while meeting the unique learning needs of each student.
- Teach core math concepts, including algebra, geometry, statistics, trigonometry, fractions, decimals, ratios, and other key areas as per curriculum requirements.
- **Classroom Management**:

- Establish and maintain a positive, disciplined, and supportive learning environment conducive to academic growth.
- Monitor and manage classroom behavior, ensuring a safe and respectful space for all students.
- **Student Support & Differentiated Learning**:

- Assess students’ academic progress regularly and identify areas that require additional support.
- Implement differentiated teaching strategies to support diverse learning needs and styles.
- Encourage problem-solving and critical thinking by designing interactive and practical math-related activities.
- **Assessment & Evaluation**:

- Conduct regular assessments (both formative and summative) to monitor students' understanding and progress.
- Provide detailed and constructive feedback to students and their parents/guardians to highlight strengths and areas for improvement.
- **Residential Life Contribution**:

- Actively engage with students in a residential environment by participating in non-academic activities, clubs, and residential supervision as per school needs.
- **Collaboration with Colleagues**:

- Work collaboratively with fellow teachers, parents, and leadership to maintain a positive and holistic learning environment.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, training workshops, and staff development programs.
- **Technology Integration in Teaching**:

- Leverage modern teaching aids, technology, and innovative strategies to make learning interactive and accessible for students.
- **Professional Development**:

- Stay abreast of the latest teaching strategies and developments in mathematics education to ensure effective instruction.

**Qualifications & Skills Required:Education**:

- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
- B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) or equivalent teaching certification.

**Experience**:

- Minimum **[X years]** experience teaching mathematics to students in **grades 4 through 10** in a residential, boarding, or similar school environment.
- Proven experience in managing classrooms, teaching various math concepts, and ensuring curriculum adherence.

**Other Requirements**:

- Immediate availability to join the school in Bangalore.
- Experience in residential school environments is a strong plus.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience with advanced teaching methodologies or specialized training in teaching mathematics.
- Familiarity with academic performance tracking tools and assessment strategies.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
