**Jobs & Resposibility**

**1** Investigation of Workplace Accidents to understand the root cause of accidents

**2 **Implement Control measures to prevent the reoccurance of accidents

**3** Educate employees on Best Practices using Equipment and machinery

**4** Conduct Safety trainings on all relevant safety topics

**5** Make recommendations on improvement of safety standards and procedures

**6** Liasoning with local Govt Authorities for required licenses, Authorisations and obtaining them when required

**7** Execute environmental testings from external labs to ensure that parameters are within range as per local environmental laws

**8** Identify and amend potential hazards by performing inspections on shop floor, Machinery and safety systems

**9** Identifying and analyzing hazards, conducting risk assessments'

**10** Communicate with management in time for any kind of safety requirements

**11** Select and Ensure that the required PPE is available and worn by workmen

**12** Oversee and installation of safety devices / other safety assessories on machinery and in plant

**13** Stay updated on government rules and regulations related to safety and environment

**14** Monitor workplace environment and gacilities to ensure there are no dangerous situations

**15** Continuous improvements wherever possible to improve the safety culture of organization JOB ROLES, RESPONSIBILITIES OF HSE EXECUTIVE

**16** A very pro-active and dynamic approach to handle safety activities on shop floor is needed

**17** Worksite engagement with supervisors and technicians

**18** Monitor daily site tasks and provide advice on risks and controls. Also take lead in mitigating actions implementations on shop floor

**19** Maintain injury and incidents records/reports, investigations & statistical data. Performing accident/incident investigations

**20** Conducting all applicable Mock drills (Fire safety, Chemical safety, Electrical safety, Earthquake response)

**21** Record keeping of all PPE Inventory, Hazardous waste inventory, Chemical Inventory and all Material handling equipment

**22** To be available, out of office times to provide operations with information and guidance in emergency situations

**23** To Participate in all relevant audits (Customer Audits, Certification Audit) & Conduct Internal Audits of Health & Safety

**24** Contribute in Drafting Emergency preparedness procedures, Policies, Signboards, Safety instructions & other documents

**25** Look for all safety displays (Fire PASS Method, 5S, No Spillage, Ergonomics & Safety etc.) on the shop floor

**AREA HSE (HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT) TASKS DESCRIPTION**

**1* **PPE Inventory Control*, Distribution, Record keeping & Adherence of PPE Kits (Gloves, sleeves, Hats, Safety Shoes )

**2* **TRAINING Participation* as HSE trainer in scheduled internal HSE trainings ( Especially Fire training & First Aid Trainings )

**3* **AUDITING* Participation in ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 Certification Audits. Conduct of Internal HSE Audits

**4* **SAFETY VIOLATION RESPONSE* Violation form implementation on Shop Floor & Continous monitoring of Hazard avoidance

**5* **EMERGENCY RESPONSE* Implementation of Emergency Response during any possible Fire, General major/minor accidents, Employee Health emergency situations, First aid needs, Chemical emergencies & other alarming situation

**6* **MATERIAL HANDLING SAFETY* Calibration / Maintenance of all material handling equipment (EOT Cranes, Eye Bolts, D-Shackles, Permanent magnet lifters etc.)

**7* **ENV & HSE DATA MANAGEMEN*T Collection & Analysis of Environmental / Health data (Energy usage / Water usage / STP Water & Sludge generated / Near misses / Minor & Major accidents)

**8* **MOCK DRILLS* Conducting Regular Mock Drills (Fire Drill, Medical Emergency Drill, Chemical Spill drill etc)

**9* **HAZARDS ANALYSIS* Identification of Process Specific Hazards & Risks, Conducting HIRA,

**10** **HSE STANDARDIZATION** Standardisation of Tasks & Operation Standard IS 2190:2010 etc. Standardization for Safe layout, Colour coding of layout elements

**11** **CHEMICAL SAFETY MANAGEMENT** Chemicals & Hazardous Waste Inventory Management (Records of Transfer Manifests / Material IN-OUT)

**12 MAINTENANCE OF FIRE SAFETY ASSESSORIES** Maintenance & Regular Inspection of all Fire assessories (DG Pump, Jockey Pump, Hydrant Lines, Hose Reels, Valves, Hooters, Detectors, Landing valves etc.
