Position: House Butler/ Household Service Associate (Live-in)

Location: Mumbai

Employment Type: Full-time, Live-in

Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and well-trained individual with a strong background in hospitality or private household service to oversee and support the day-to-day functioning of a private residence. The role requires a service-oriented mindset, strong organizational skills, and an eye for detail — ensuring every guest interaction, space, and setup reflects a high standard of care and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

- 1. Guest Service & Hosting
- Welcome and attend to guests with warmth, professionalism, and discretion.
- Coordinate with the household team to ensure seamless service during meals, gatherings, and events.
- Handle table settings, beverage service, and meal presentations to fine-dining standards.
- Assist in managing refreshments, tableware, and general hospitality during in-house occasions.
- 2. Household Management Support
- Maintain order and aesthetic presentation across all household spaces (living rooms, dining areas, terraces, etc.).
- Support with setup and reset of spaces before and after use.
- Handle daily upkeep coordination, organization, and minor errands as needed.
- Manage or assist with stock tracking of essentials such as linens, crockery, beverages, and supplies.
- 3. General Assistance & Coordination
- Manage movement of items or trays between floors and ensure readiness of key areas throughout the day.
- Work closely with the head housekeeper or household manager to execute daily plans.
- Remain flexible and available for ad-hoc household requirements, demonstrating initiative and reliability.

Skills & Personal Qualities:

- Background in hospitality, valet service, or fine-home management (experience in hotels or private residences preferred).
- Excellent grooming and personal presentation.
- Fluent in English and Hindi; knowledge of Marathi preferred.
- High integrity, reliability, and confidentiality in handling household and personal matters.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Service-oriented, courteous, and composed demeanor even in busy settings.

Work Terms:

- Live-in position with residence and meals provided.
- Days off: Up to 4 days off per month (to be scheduled in advance).
- Annual leave: 30 days per year (to be planned around household schedules).
- Working hours: Full-day schedule, flexibility required during hosting or events.
- Experience level: 3-8 years preferred in similar roles within high-end hospitality or private homes.
