Inspecting construction sites regularly to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards1

Supervising and instructing the construction team as well as subcontractors1

Educating site workers on construction safety regulations and accident protocol1

Enforcing site safety rules to minimize work-related accidents and injuries1

Handling site accidents in accordance with established accident protocol1

Ordering building supplies, scheduling equipment maintenance as needed, and training new construction employees1

Visiting job sites to analyze space availability, design needs and the purpose of the space2

Attending client meetings to understand the design needs and client preferences regarding interior styles and colors2

Creating initial design sketches, color themes and ideas based on client requirements and space availability2

Getting approval from the client before creating CAD designs and detailed briefs for workers and supervisors2

Hiring contractors and vendors to implement design ideas, such as carpenters, painters, plumbers, electricians and artists2

Arranging client visits and keeping everyone involved in the project appraised of its progress2

Ensuring project completion within the allocated budget and timeline2

To become a site supervisor for an interior company, one usually needs a diploma or degree in interior design, civil engineering, or a related field, as well as relevant work experience in the interior design industry. They should also have strong skills in communication, leadership, problem-solving, time management, and design software, such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator or other program
