We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated IT Administrator to join our team. As an IT Administrator, you will be responsible for overseeing the organization’s IT infrastructure, managing and supporting network systems, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring optimal system performance. You will play a key role in maintaining the security, reliability, and functionality of our IT operations.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**System & Network Management**:
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, workstations, and network devices.
- Manage local and wide-area networks (LAN/WAN) ensuring seamless connectivity.
- Perform network monitoring to ensure network availability and reliability.
**Hardware & Software Management**:
- Maintain inventory of IT hardware and software resources.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues.
**Cloud Infrastructure Management**:
- Deploy and manage cloud-based virtual machines, load balancers, and containerized services (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and scaling using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.
- Monitor cloud environments for performance optimization, cost efficiency, and resource allocation.
**Server Administration**:
- Manage and maintain both physical and virtualized servers (Windows/Linux/Unix) in on-premise data centers or in cloud environments.
- Configure and optimize server performance, including CPU, memory, disk usage, and network settings.
**Security Administration**:
- Implement and monitor security policies to protect systems, networks, and data.
- Configure firewalls, anti-virus, and backup solutions to safeguard against threats.
- Conduct regular audits and vulnerability assessments.
**User Support & Training**:
- Provide technical support to staff for hardware and software issues.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and passwords.
**Backup and Disaster Recovery**:
- Ensure regular data backups and secure storage.
- Implement disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, procedures, and network configurations.
- Generate regular reports on system performance, network status, and security events.
**Vendor Management**:
- Coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers for procurement and maintenance of IT equipment and services.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools.
**Skills & Qualifications**:
**Educational Qualification**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
**Experience**:
- 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in IT administration or related role.
- Proficiency in managing Windows/Linux servers, networking protocols, and firewalls.
**Technical Skills**:
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and VPNs.
- Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, etc.) is a plus.
- Proficient in Active Directory, file sharing, and system backup tools.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms like VMware, Hyper-V is desirable.
**Soft Skills**:
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
**Certifications (Preferred but not required)**:
- CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), etc.
