Introduction

What will you be doing?

Designing and defining process and controls

The Process Architect supports the Operational Process Owner in:

- designing the process (i.e. ensuring tasks are clearly mapped out in terms of inputs, outputs, responsibilities etc.).
- Defining the Controls Landscape - i.e. ensuring that the Standard contains the right Control Requirements, and that each Control Requirement is properly underpinned with appropriate and robust process controls.
- Defining and documenting controls designed to test adherence to Standards
- ensuring all process documentation meets overall requirements, is fit for purpose and is maintained in governance.

Risk Management
- The Architect’s role is to identify the points in the process where risks are incurred and ensure appropriate controls are defined to mitigate those risks.
- They also ensure that those controls are backed up by effective process controls to prevent the risk or detect non-compliance.

Process Interdependencies
- With their broader knowledge of ITIL processes, Architects ensure that interdependencies between processes are called out and effectively managed.

Impact Assessment
- When a process improvement idea is proposed, the Architect will conduct an assessment to identify impacts to the process or any other dependent processes and ensures those impacts are managed to effective closure.

What we’re looking for:
Process and Standards Experience:

- Experience in designing, developing, documenting and maintaining processes (essential)
- Knowledge / experience of process design methodologies and tools (process analysis, process design, process mapping) (essential)
- Experience in establishing and managing systems (e.g. managing repositories, version control) for the effective management of processes and other documentation (essential)

Technical / IT skills and experience:

- Good process mapping skills (MS Visio preferred, but similar process mapping tool acceptable)

Skills that will help you in the role:

- Experience with ServiceNow platform
- ITIL V4 expert qualification
