Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
Network Administration & Design
- Ensure proper LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and VPN connectivity for all offices and remote users.
- Implement quality of service and traffic shaping for optimised performance.
- Manage network segmentation and VLANs for security and efficiency.
- Design, configure, deploy, and maintain Cisco Meraki wireless, switching, and security appliances.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting
- Use Meraki Dashboard to monitor network health, detect anomalies, and proactively resolve issues.
- Perform regular firmware updates, security patches, and configuration backups.
- Troubleshoot network latency, packet loss, and wireless connectivity issues.
- Client & server management, Sentinel security suite and Azure Knowledge necessary.

Security & Compliance
- Configure and maintain firewall rules, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and VPNs for secure access.
- Ensure compliance with ISO, GDPR, SOC 2, and other industry security standards.
- Work with cybersecurity teams to mitigate vulnerabilities and implement security best practices.

Day-to-Day Activities
- Morning Network Health Check: Review alerts from Meraki Dashboard, resolve network outages, and address connectivity issues.
- User Support & Incident Management: Assist employees with network-related concerns (Wi-Fi, VPN access, etc.).
- Performance Optimization: Analyze network traffic, fine-tune policies, and optimize bandwidth allocation.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of network configurations, change logs, and incident reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Certifications: Cisco Certified Meraki Networking Associate (CMNA) or CCNA (Meraki experience preferred).
- Technical Skills: Expertise in Cisco Meraki switches, wireless access points, security appliances, SD-WAN, and VPNs.
- Network Protocols: Proficiency in TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, MPLS.
- Troubleshooting Tools: Wireshark, SolarWinds, PRTG, or equivalent monitoring software.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and the ability to work in a demanding environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience working in enterprise or multi-site environments.
- Knowledge of cloud-managed networking and zero-trust security models.
- Familiarity with automation (Python, Ansible) for network configuration and monitoring.
