Aba Therapist

Gifted Montessori - The Montessori Inclusion Center, an upcoming unit of Vruksha International School of Montessori - is looking to hire Special Education Teachers to join our team of Montessori Educators. You will be responsible for supporting children with mild or moderate disabilities, by developing individualised plans according to child’s specific needs.

Your job duties would include:

- Assessing children’s skills and learning requirements
- Designing Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs)
- Working directly with children at school/home
- Collaborating with parents, school members and therapists

**Responsibilities**:

- Assess child’s developmental stage reporting abilities/disabilities
- Collate and analyse medical/progress reports of the child, if any.
- Craft Individualised Learning Plan for the Child
- Prepare learning materials catering to the child’s specific needs
- Observe and record child’s progress on a regular basis
- Monitor child’s behavioural patterns and arrange appropriate support as needed
- Manage classroom crisis and resolve conflicts gracefully
- Prepare child for transition to the next level
- Educate parents about the child’s (potential) problems and progress regularly
- Collaborate with members of the Inclusion centre staff (e.g. Montessori Adult, Speech therapists, etc) to create holistic plans

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher or relevant role
- Good knowledge of current special education topics and methodologies
- Experience working with children with a wide range of disabilities
- Ability to create IEPs
- A patient, resourceful, and resilient personality
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Valid state special education certificate
- Montessori understanding is a plus
