**Surveillance monitoring**:Actively monitoring CCTV cameras, security systems, and access control points to identify potential security threats or suspicious activities.
- **Patrolling**:Regularly patrolling assigned areas of the property, both indoors and outdoors, to ensure security protocols are followed and to deter criminal activity.
- **Access control**:Verifying identification of visitors and staff entering the premises, ensuring only authorized personnel have access to restricted areas.
- **Incident reporting**:Promptly reporting any security breaches, suspicious behavior, accidents, or emergencies to the security supervisor.
- **Investigative assistance**:Assisting with basic security investigations by gathering information, interviewing witnesses, and documenting evidence as directed by the security officer.
- **Log maintenance**:Keeping detailed logs of security activities, visitor entries, and incidents.
- **Emergency response**:Responding to emergency situations according to established procedures, including fire alarms, medical emergencies, and active threats.
- **Communication**:Maintaining clear communication with security team members, supervisors, and other relevant personnel.
- **Crowd control**:Assisting in managing crowds during events or high traffic periods, ensuring safety and order.
- **Security checks**:Conducting random security checks on vehicles, packages, and personnel to prevent unauthorized items from entering the premises.
- **Compliance with regulations**:Ensuring adherence to all security policies, procedures, and local regulations.

- **A good ASO should be observant, alert, and have good communication and interpersonal skills**.
