**Job Title**:
**Production Supervisor - Food Co-Packing**
**Reports to**:
Production Manager / Plant Manager
**Job Summary**:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations on assigned lines or shifts in our food co-packing facility. This includes managing production staff, ensuring production targets and quality standards are met, maintaining compliance with food safety and regulatory requirements, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
**Key Responsibilities:Production Operations**
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet output, quality, and efficiency targets.
- Allocate manpower, plan shifts, and monitor line performance for various co-packing projects (e.g., pouching, bottling, cartoning).
- Ensure machinery and equipment are operated safely and effectively.
**Quality & Food Safety**
- Enforce GMP, HACCP, and company food safety protocols on the floor.
- Ensure products are packed as per specifications, correct labelling, and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with QA team on in-process checks and corrective actions.
**People Management**
- Lead, train, and motivate operators and line workers.
- Maintain discipline, attendance, and safety compliance among team members.
- Conduct briefings before shifts and ensure daily production records are filled accurately.
**Troubleshooting & Improvement**
- Identify and resolve production issues (equipment stoppages, process deviations, material shortages).
- Suggest and implement initiatives to improve OEE, reduce waste, and increase line efficiencies.
- Support maintenance team during breakdowns.
**Documentation & Compliance**
- Maintain production logs, batch records, and downtime reports.
- Ensure compliance with internal SOPs, regulatory, and customer audit requirements.
**Qualifications**:
- Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Mechanical, or related field.
- 3-5 years’ experience in food manufacturing, preferably in co-packing or contract manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of GMP, HACCP, and production line operations.
- Experience with high-speed packaging lines preferred.
**Key Skills**:
- Strong leadership & team management.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Basic troubleshooting of production machinery.
- Knowledge of food safety standards.
**Work Environment**:
- Factory floor environment with exposure to production lines, noise, and temperature variations.
- Requires standing for long periods and supervising multiple lines.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
